General
If you click Chat Room you'll be able to Chat (irc) to anyone in any Galaxy. Put it in so that Players can chat wherever they are in any Galaxy and most importantly so that newbies don't feel alone in the Game as the Galaxy is so big (and will get bigger). Torin will be in the Chat Room most of the time that I'm online but if I don't reply straight away it means I'm working. Hopefully newbies will be able to learn more about the Game and gain tips from experienced Players.
The Chat Room is also accessible using most popular IRC clients at irc.ircstorm.net on port 6667 channel #CS_Galactic_Comms. Please only use this if the Java version in Game doesn't work for you. To join the channel using a IRC client you need to get the password from the Game Help, it is to avoid other IRC users to join the Channel. If you use an IRC Client there are three rules which will get you instantly banned if found breaking.
Rules of the Chat Room
The following actions are not allowed on the Chosen Space Comms (Offenders would be warned and banned):
1. Offensive Posting Inappropriate content will result in you being Kicked from the Comms and possibly Banned from it. Do not post anything that is obscene, vulgar, sexually-orientated, racist, hateful, threatening, or otherwise violative of any laws.
2. Flaming Flames (this includes but is not limited to: deliberate hostile, insulting, offending or abusive languages which is used as a personal attack) directed towards other users are not allowed. Examples: F*** you. Go kill yourself. You are an idiot. Are you stupid or something?
3. Spamming and Disruptive Posting Messages that disrupt the Comms for other users are not allowed. Examples: Advertisments Content deemed inappropriate or illegal Flooding (posting a large amount of messages in a short period of time)
4. Over use of Bolds & Underline Messages which are all Bold or all Underline will get the Player kicked from the Comms. Repeat use will receive a Points or Credits fine.
5. Usernames Only your in-Game username can be used on Comms. If your connecting to Comms through the Game then if your username has already been registered on the Comms network you will automatically be renamed Visitor. If you're connecting using IRC software and your name is taken you can modify your username but it must be similar to your in-Game name.
6. Impersonation of admins and mods Offenders will be banned immediately.
7. Impersonation of other Players Offenders will be warned and then banned.
8. Posting Locations No posting of other people's game location.
There is an IRC Bot in the Comms called BotMaster who will Kick you for Cursing, Flooding and Repeating yourself multiple times. If you are Kicked multiple times the Moderators will then contact you and fine you Points. Further Kicking will result in a Ban from the Comms.

You can access the chat room by going to http://www.freejavachat.com/chat.php?chan=Chosen_Space there u will be asked for the password. This can be found in the game under Chat Help. Once you have entered the chat room if you have not already you need to change your name to your game name using the following command.
/nick GAMENAME
so like /nick Golden will give you the name Golden
