Ores

Ores are the raw elements mined from Asteroids. By themselves, any ore possesses a value, and can be sold on any planet. However, most ores are more valuable and useful once they are taken to a Refinery and processed. While this is not free, it usually increases the value of the ore enough to justify the cost.

The ores found on asteroids are:

• Iridium Ore,which can be refined into Iridium Alloy. Iridium is usually not cost effective to refine.
• Zirconium Ore, which can be refined into Zirconium Alloy. If you plan on stopping at a refinery to process your other ores, it is worth the cost to process Zirconium.
• Fullerite Ore can be refined into Fullerite Crystals. It is worth going out of your way to process Fullerite.
• Gold Ore can be refined into Gold Bullion. Like Fullerite, taking the time to refine Gold increases your profits.
• Tetrium Ore can be processed into Tetrium Rods. Tetrium Rods are the mosty common fuel used on starships. Tetrium earns a much better price once it is refined.
• Quadrium Ore can be processed into Quadrium Rods. Like Tetrium Rods, Quadrium Rods ae used to fuel starships. Quadrium Rods are more efficient than Tetrium Rods, therefore they cost more to buy. Quadrium is worth refining prior to sale.
